The module <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">M<\/span> is called a Dual-Utumi-Module (<span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">D U<\/span>-module) if <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">M<\/span> is a <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">D 4<\/span>-module and for any two proper submodules <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">A<\/span> and <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">B<\/span> of <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">M<\/span> with <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">M\/A \\cong M\/B<\/span> and <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">A +B =M<\/span>, both <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">A<\/span> and <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">B<\/span> lie over direct summands of <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">M<\/span>. The notion of <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">D U<\/span>-modules is a simultaneous and strict generalization of both the quasi-discrete as well as the dual-square-free modules. In this paper,we study the modules whose factors are <span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">D U<\/span>-modules (<span class=\"katex-eq\" data-katex-display=\"false\">D 4<\/span>-modules), extending some of the known results on quasi-discrete modules and obtaining new ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><span style=\"color:#060182\" class=\"color\"><strong>Keywords<\/strong>:<\/span>&nbsp;
